The World
At the world's creation, the races of the world worked together, knowing no other way. As time progressed each race developed different beliefs on how the world came to be as well as which race was better than the other. As the differences of opinions continued, dislike for the other races began to turn to hatred. Wars were fought and great losses were seen on each front. When all was seemingly at wits end, they finally came to a treaty, going their separate ways and living out their lives apart.
Generations lived apart from one another, leading some to believe that the other races were only fairy tales told to put their children to sleep. Unfortunately, this 'peace' was disrupted by an evil that was unleashed from a power beyond this world that no single race could destroy. The Evil brought to this world created the Demons to help destroy what would soon come to be referred to as the "Good" Races. The Demons in turn created their own minions, Orcs and Goblins. The 'Good' races had no choice but to band together to defeat the Evil Ones, or suffer complete destruction, of their races and the entire world. As a by-product of the Magic that was unleashed, the Elementals were created. Although the Elementals were by nature Neutral, they seemed to usually help those on the Good side, trying to keep their place in the world as well. After all, Evil would just assume destroy Neutral, as Good, and even sometimes their own factions.
It took many years and lives in order to defeat the Evil. During this process, the powers of the Good grew while the Evil grew weaker by the day. Soon, the Good were able to bring about a way to defeat the evil in the form of the Towers which now stand all over the continents. The towers held within them gems on the highest level. These gems were what held the evil at bay. Each gem held part of the evil's life force within it. If the gems were captured and destroyed, the holder of the gem would gain what power was within the gem. The Arano Tower, which recently appeared, is mysterious to those who have forgotten the wars of the past, but to those who remember, it is in ominous sign.
As the Good became predominant over the continents, the races have went their separate ways once again. Although they are not outright enemies like before, they no longer work together and have their own views of how things came to be. The Elementals have become completely wild creatures and the Demons have begun biding their time.
A war seems to be on the horizon; as well as the possible resurrection of the Great Evil. Will you side with the Evil and try to aid in it's resurrection? Will you go against this the evils at work and try to stop the Evil? Or will you be neutral and live your life as normal as possible?
